The first store in Louisiana for fan favorite Buc-ee’s is being delayed.

Our news partners at KTAL NBC 6 say that the City of Ruston confirmed this week that construction will be delayed due to a study that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has to conduct.

The popular travel center is known for their 120 gas pumps, a large variety of snacks, shopping and cooked food – and clean restrooms; and has become a favorite stop on road trips.

Construction was slated to start later this year, and initial plans estimated it would be fully operational by 2025. According to reports, the study will push the opening of Buc-ee’s to the middle of 2025.
