This morning, I was convinced that the world was coming to an end.
I went out into the backyard of my Broadmoor home at about 6AM, and after clearing the cobwebs out and getting ready to start the day, I noticed the strangest sound. It was loud enough to certainly be noticeable and borderline annoying, yet, you can tell the source of the sound was relatively far away.
As soon as I noticed the sound, my mind went to the worst-case scenario, thanks to end of the world-type YouTube videos, and I fully expected to hear the sound grow louder as a tidal wave crashes over my house and all of Shreveport. Silly, I know, but after a while I became more intrigued by what in the world was causing this loud rumbling in the distance.
After hopping on Facebook, I noticed many Broadmoor residents posting about the noise, many much more angry than others.
According to Facebook, that loud rumbling noise is coming from a drilling rig less than a mile away.
